Donegan Resigns From City Council.



KEENE, NH- Thursday’s City council meeting started off short a counselor, as June M. Donegan had resigned from her Ward 5 seat earlier that afternoon.
In her letter delivered to Clerk’s office Donegan said, that she had considered her choice carefully and that her resignation was effective immediately.
Donegan who was vice chairwoman of the Municipal services committee was also approaching the end of her first term on the council.
Upon discovering this information Councilor Mitch Greenwald wished Mrs. Donegan well and offered a great deal of gratitude for her time spent serving on the council.
Mayor Kendall Lane has set a filing period for those interested in filling the vacancy for Monday, March 4th through Tuesday March 19th, with a replacement to be chosen on March 21st.
Residents are also reminded that a council election will occur in November of this year.
