Littleton, NH- Authorities say an arrest has been made in the murder investigation of Dr. Catherine “Kitty” Houghton.

According to Police upon arriving at the Hampton Inn in response to an emergency call they found the 70-year old Houghton inside with multiple stab wounds. After being transported to Littleton Regional Hospital, Houghton reportedly died due to her injuries.

During their investigation Police say they encountered 37-year old Rodney Hill of West Danville Vermont and took him into custody charging him with two counts of Second Degree Murder as well as knowingly and/or recklessly causing Dr. Houghton’s death by stabbing her in both the neck and torso.

Hill is expected to be arraigned at Littleton District Court Tuesday afternoon.
