Monday's Evening Weather, A Cause For Concern.

KEENE, NH- Drivers heading home on their evening commute Monday had to take extra precautions as the snow which started earlier in the afternoon changed over to freezing rain and drizzle which is expected to leave the general area with 1-3 inches of accumulation.
While Staff meteorologist Pat Pagano had originally forecasted this change, there’s a silver lining to this cloud as according to Pagano the freezing rain and drizzle is set to end around midnight and not overlap into Tuesday’s forecast.
As for how much to expect when everything is said and done, Pagano says “from a snow standpoint, every place but the higher elevations will probably wind up with 1-3 inches, the higher elevations will probably get a little bit more, not much more, but let’s say 4 inches on top of that crusty ice.”
With the precipitation set to end by midnight Pagano says that should allow crews plenty of time to prepare the roads for Tuesday morning’s commuters.
