Gorham,NH- A Texas man is dead after he fell while climbing Kings Ravine on Saturday afternoon.

According to Fish and Game officials, 64 year old Richard Gabriele was part of a group climbing near Mount Adams.

Officials say Gabriele slipped on snow which gave way and caused him to fall 1,500 ft to his death.

Investigators say  the group which was made up of hikers from Maine and Texas were all very experienced and had all the proper equipment to take part in the climb.

Reports also indicate that Gabriele was the last person connected in  the line of climbers and no one in the group actually saw him fall.

As for the conditions of the other members in the group, according to officials  no one else was injured.
