Ambulances Called To School For Students Feeling Ill.



GREENLAND, NH- Medical and Rescue personnel were called in to the Greenland Central School after receiving reports of students becoming sick.
According to Fire and Rescue officials 12 fifth graders said they were experiencing flu like symptoms, while one student told WMUR-TV that 2 classmates fainted during in a Science classroom.
When the questions of what were those students using which might possibly cause them to collapse such as the improper use of a Bunsen burner, it was discover that those students in question were examining the fat content of various foods and not using burners.
The demand for help by school officials prompted the need for several ambulances to be called to the school which houses students in pre-kindergarten all the way up to the eighth grade, after Rescue and Medical personnel checked on student’s vitals only to discover those students would not need further medical attention.
Upon arriving at the school Fire and Rescues crews were able to not only attend to the students but also keep the school open even as Fire officials evaluated the air quality and found nothing suspicious during their investigation at the school.  
After contacting State health officials one theory being considered is that the children were hit by the flu virus which is making its way through the country.
