JACKSON, MISS- Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant’s parent company Entergy Corporation, announced Tuesday, Mike Perito will take over as Senior Vice President and Chief operations officer of not only Vermont Yankee, but also Fitz Patrick and Pilgrim Nuclear Power plants.

According to a press release Perito who’s been with Entergy Corporation since 2008 and up till recently was Site Vice President for the Grand Gulf Nuclear Power plant will succeed current General Manager Kevin Bronson who’s slated to retire at the end of February 2013 after 32 years with the company.

Entergy officials say the transitioning period is set to get underway at the beginning of February 2013.
