Natina Reed laid to rest

Tragic R&B star Natina Reed was laid to rest in her native Georgia on Saturday, a week after she was fatally struck by a car on a roadway.

Friends and relatives of the rapper/singer, who died on 26 October, two days before her 32nd birthday, gathered at the Abundant Life Church in Lithonia to mourn the loss, with guests including Reed's former fiance, hip-hop veteran Kurupt, and their 10-year-old son Tren Brown.

Her former bandmates in 1990s group Blaque, Shamari Fears-Devoe and Brandi Williams, were also in attendance, as were rap stars Snoop Dogg, Big Boi and Daz Dillinger and the surviving members of TLC, Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas.

Taking to his Twitter.com blog on Sunday to mark the sad occasion, Kurupt, who footed the bill for the memorial, wrote, "We luv u (sic) Natina... Missed but not forgottin (sic)". (MT/WNTWT&WNGG/LR)
