Voters Come Out In Full Force Across Keene On Election Day.



KEENE, NH- With just about everyone in the country casting a ballot in Tuesday’s 2012 general election it’s safe to say voter turnout was more than impressive in the city of Keene.
According to City clerk Patricia Little; Keene had an overall voter turnout of 76% which translates into a total of 13,984 ballots cast across all 5 wards, that figure also includes a total of 1061 absentee ballots complied from all 5 wards as well.
As for new voters, Keene had a grand total of 3,354 residents who registered on Tuesday with the vast majority coming from Ward 1 with 1,289. In terms of percentages, the highest turnout was at Ward 3 with an 88%, followed by Ward 4 with 83%; Ward 5 had 82%, leaving Ward 2 with 77% and Ward 1 had a 57% turnout.
