Franklin, TN- Brattleboro Vermont has been named one of the best small towns to live in and visit, that’s according to Livability.com, a national website which highlighted more than 500 cities and towns throughout the country.
Coming in at number 3 on the list, Brattleboro was highlighted for its artistic haven, tree lined streets and quaint downtown with densely populated independent business set among a hilly terrain. With a low crime and high employment rate, Livability.com calls Brattleboro a great place to raise a family.
Originally editors at Livability.com started out with 500 cities that had fewer than 25,000 residents then factored in median house hold incomes, home prices along with crime rates, unemployment rate and average commutes and distances to larger cities. Then narrowed the list down to a final 10 that mirrored qualities of the fictional TV town of Mayberry, beating Brattleboro in the number 2 spot was Golden Colorado and coming in at number 1 was Papillion Nebraska.
