KEENE, NH- As voters prepare for Tuesday’s primary, many residents are wondering not only where they have to go, but also how recent changes will affect the way they vote on September 11th.
According to City Clerk Patricia Little the city will still have its five polling centers set up across town. Residents who live in Ward 1 will now be voting at the new Michael E.J. Blastos Community room located at 400 Marlboro Street, adjacent to the Keene Police Department. For those residents living in Ward 2, voting will still be conducted at the Parks and Recreation Center on upper Washington Street. Voters in Ward 3 will vote at the Fuller School on Elm Street and Ward 4 voters will head to the Symonds School on Park Avenue. For those in Ward 5, voting occurs at the Crossway Church, formerly known as the Trinity Lutheran Church, on Arch Street.
For those wondering if identification is required in order to vote on Tuesday, the answer is no, for the primary. While voters will be requested to present some form of identification when registering, in the event they’re without any that’s alright. Those who don’t bring any identification will still be able to vote, and will receive a handout explaining the new Voter ID requirements for future elections.
Voting Centers open Tuesday morning at 8am and close at 7pm.
