BEDFORD, NH- An early morning barn fire kills fourteen horses.

Firefighters say the horses perished in a barn fire which occurred on Perry Road early Thursday morning. While the blaze destroyed the barn officials say eight other horses and a pig were rescued from the flames.

According to officials the fire was fire under control in about an hour, with the assistance of firefighters from ten nearby communities. Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
