CONCORD, NH- The New Hampshire Department of Education will seek both an Elementary and Secondary Education Act Flexibility waiver.
State Education officials announced Thursday that they will in fact seek waivers from the United States Department of Education, In order to hopefully establish their own accountability system that differs from the current standards set by the "No Child Left Behind Act"(NCLB).
As currently educators feel the demanded standards of NCLB do not currently fit the standards verses a decade ago when the act was implemented.
According to State education officials those wishing to find out more about the waivers and how they will affect their community may contact the New Hampshire department of education to view a copy of the application, which is also available at the department's website.
