Taylor Swift denies that she's a wedding crasher

Taylor Swift's representative has dismissed rumours the singer crashed a wedding over the weekend by showing up uninvited.

The singer attended the marriage of Kyle Kennedy and Liam Kerr in Boston, Massachusetts on Saturday with her rumored new boyfriend Conor Kennedy.

However, the bride's mother Victoria Gifford Kennedy claims Swift was not invited to the event at the city's Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel and was asked to leave.

She told U.S. newspaper the Boston Herald, "They (Swift and Kennedy) texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear, 'Please do not come.' They came anyway... I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me."

However, Swift's spokeswoman Paula Erikson is adamant the bride was happy to see the singer at the ceremony, saying, "There is no truth to that (story). Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there."
