Arrest warrant issued for rocker Wes Scantlin
A Los Angeles judge has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of rocker Wes Scantlin after he missed a scheduled court appearance relating to drug charges.
The Puddle of Mudd frontman pleaded guilty to cocaine possession last month and agreed to enrol in a drug counselling programme as part of a plea deal following a January arrest.
He was ordered to return to court on Wednesday to show proof of his drug treatment, but he failed to appear, resulting in the judge signing off on a bench warrant.
However, the warrant has been placed on hold until Aug. 17, when Scantlin will have one more chance to show or become a wanted man, reports Eonline.com.
Scantlin copped to the possession charge in exchange for prosecutors dropping two misdemeanour counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance and driving without a licence.
