Run-D.M.C. reuniting for Jay-Z's music festival

Legendary hip-hop stars Run-D.M.C. are bringing forward their big reunion to perform at Jay-Z's Made In America music festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in September.

The It's Like That hitmakers, who split in 2002 following the murder of producer Jam Master Jay, recently announced plans to reform for what was expected to be a one-off performance at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas in November, but now surviving members Joseph 'Rev. Run' Simmons and Darryl 'D.M.C.' McDaniels will also join the Empire State of Mind hitmaker on the bill for his inaugural event this autumn.

Rapper Drake, soul star Jill Scott and rocker Chris Cornell are among the other new additions to the Made In America line-up, which already boasts Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Santigold, D'Angelo, Odd Future, Rick Ross' Maybach Music and The Hives.

The two-day festival will take place at Fairmount Park and a portion of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity organisation United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. (MT/WN/MC)
