Justin Bieber performs free show for 300,000



Pop superstar Justin Bieber brought the centre of Mexico City to a standstill on Monday night as he performed a free show for 300,000 fans.

The teenage singer has played a string of impromptu gigs in countries including Norway and France to promote his new album Believe in recent weeks, and he headed to the Mexican capital for another show on Monday.

Taking to his Twitter.com page before the concert, Bieber told his followers, "The pics of the crowds look CRAZY here in MEXICO CITY!! IM HYPED!! This is going to be fun! MEXICO I LOVE YOU! Te AMO MUCHO!!"

Hundreds of thousands of fans packed the historic city centre for the evening show, which the singer kicked off with a rendition of his track Baby.

Bieber sang hits such as Somebody To Love and One Less Lonely Girl during the high-energy set - and the gig was one to remember for the star.

After leaving the stage, he tweeted, "everything about tonight was special. it is everything we stand for. a lot of emotions but it was worth it. 300,000 people. Te Amo MEXICO." (CL/WNTWT/PAW)
