Van Halen's 'Jump' tops best sports song poll



Van Halen's 1984 anthem "Jump" has topped a new survey to find the greatest sporting song of all time.

PRS for Music polled its members to find the most popular sports tune to mark the opening of the London Olympics on Friday, and "Jump" came out on top.

The Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" was second and Jackie Wilson's Higher and Higher came in third.

Spandau Ballet's "Gold" and "Thriller" by Michael Jackson rounded out the top five.
