Pop star Avril Lavigne showed off her wild side while promoting her new clothing line earlier this week by debuting a partly-shaven head.

The Sk8er Boi hitmaker made an appearance in Paris, France to promote her fashion range Abbey Dawn on Monday, and stunned fans with a shorn new look.

The singer sported a punk style, with one side of her head clipped close to the scalp.

Lavigne follows in the footsteps of Rihanna, Ke$ha and Madonna's daughter Lourdes, who have all gone for the buzz-cut look in recent months. (MJ/WNWCDAM/PAW)
