Sir Paul McCartney rules out Las Vegas residency

Sir Paul McCartney has no plans to follow in the footsteps of Sir Elton John and Rod Stewart by taking up a residency in Las Vegas.

The Beatles legend is bringing his current world tour, On The Run, to an end this summer after playing dates around the world.

And although he refuses to slow down as he prepares to turn 70 on Monday, McCartney insists he'll never agree to a longterm stint in Sin City.

He tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "I must say (wife) Nancy (Shevell) and I did have some fun moments imaging me with a little pinky ring, in rhinestone, with a little glass of whisky and soda, sitting on a high stool on stage next to the piano doing six months in Las Vegas.

"It's nice to think about that for a second. And then completely rule it out." (MJ/WNBTE/PAW)
