Salvation Army Opens Toy Store For Families In Need.

MANCHESTER,NH- With Christmas less than a week away some families faced with tough times got a little help form an organization that knows a thing or two about helping those in need, as the Salvation Army set up a Toy store for parents struggling to make ends meet.
On Friday the Salvation Army set up a make shift Toy store where those in need signed up ahead of time and then arrived at the Radisson hotel to shop for their children. The toys available were made possible through donations and a rather large amount which was purchased by the Union Leader's Santa Fund.
"Were giving away toys for about 1,000 families and parents get to come in and shop" said Lt. Herb Rader from the Salvation Army of Manchester.
According to mother of four,  Angela Turan it's a rather large help and relief during the holiday season, "This helps tremendously" Turan also said, " It's been helping our family for, I would say three years."
Organizers putting on the event said their goal is making Christmas a special time for New Hampshire children who otherwise might have gone without.
