PLAISTOW, NH- The couple wanted on allegations of child abuse that spent 2 weeks on the run only to be caught at an amusement park in Orlando Florida faced a judge Monday.
Appearing before a judge in separate video arraignments charges against the pair were read off for their roles in the abuse of Jessica Lindscott’s 3 year old son James.
After being charged with both first and second degree assault as well as five counts of child endangerment, Roland Dow was ordered to be held on $ 500,000.00 cash bail, the judge hearing the case also made it clear that in the event Dow is able to make his bail he’s to have no contact with Jessica Lindscott or her son James the victim, and must with his mother until his next court appearance.
As for Jessica Lindscott the judge hearing her case ordered she be held on $100,000.00 bail and have no contact with either her son or Roland Dow. When asked if she had anything to say in the matter Lindscott who appeared without a lawyer, told the judge she would not be able to make the bail and would like the court to provide her with a lawyer.
Charges against the pair arose after they dropped Lindscott’s son James off at a hospital and told officials his injuries were self-inflicted, the boy ended up suffering seizures as a result of the abuse, along with bruises and burns over much of his body. The couple then fled to the Boston area and on to New York where prosecutors say they took a train to Florida, only to be found at the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando.
According to prosecutors Dow may also face additional charges.
